WWII – Henry Moore Sculptures

Primary 7 created sculptures based on Moore’s war drawings.
Henry Spencer Moore (30 July 1898 – 31 August 1986) was an English artist and sculptor.
During the war, Moore was commissioned as a war artist, producing powerful drawings of Londoners sleeping in the London Underground while sheltering from the blitz.
We used newspaper to make our figures and then covered them with Mod-Rock. Turquoise and gold paint help to give the effect of a bronze sculpture

We are primary 3 at Easter Carmuirs Primary. We used modroc during art recently to make Egyptian mummies! We enjoyed using it and it was soggy and slippery! Your sculptures look great!

Fantastic work guys! I love seeing the process involved in making the sculptures. Sometimes it is almost as interesting as seeing the finished work. Your blog is very lively and very interesting.
